Decision
Deferment, Suspension or Cancellation
Students may request for a Deferment, Suspension or Cancellation at the beginning of the course or prior to the census date of a semester under compelling or compassionate circumstances.
Compassionate or compelling circumstances include (but not limited to):
serious illness or injury affecting a student’s ability to study
witnessing or being the victim of a serious crime
bereavement of close family members, such as parents or grandparents
natural disaster in a student’s home country
traumatic event in Student’s personal life
the Institute was unable to offer a pre-requisite unit
delay in receiving a student visa.
Refund
The Institute will process applications for refund of tuition fees in accordance with the Institute’s Refund Policy that is in line with government legislation if the student defers or withdraws from a course prior to the census date.
If SCI or TEQSA discontinues a course, refunds will be granted to international students in accordance with the provisions of the ESOS Act 2000 and the 2001 ESOS Regulations.
