BIO
Dr Shah Haque is a Lecturer in Information Systems at Southern Cross Institute (SCI), specialising in information systems education, digital transformation, and emerging technologies. He has nearly a decade of experience in higher education across Australian institutions, complemented by professional experience in information systems consulting, business analysis, and digital transformation. His teaching integrates academic knowledge with industry practice, enabling students to understand how information systems can be used to address contemporary organisational challenges.
Dr Haque holds a PhD from Central Queensland University, Australia, a Graduate Diploma in Information Technology from the University of Technology Sydney, a Graduate Certificate in Data Analytics, and a Graduate Certificate in Education (Tertiary Education). His academic and professional interests are centred on information systems, emerging technologies, business transformation, and technology-enhanced learning.
His research interests include artificial intelligence, information systems, data analytics, cybersecurity governance, and the responsible integration of generative AI into higher education. He has published in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings and continues to explore the impact of emerging technologies on education, organisations, and society.
Dr Haque contributes to curriculum development, assessment design, academic quality assurance, and initiatives that enhance student learning and engagement. His industry experience in enterprise systems, business process improvement, stakeholder engagement, and digital transformation informs his practice-oriented approach to teaching information systems. He is committed to preparing graduates with the technical knowledge, analytical capabilities, and ethical awareness required to succeed in an increasingly digital environment.
Dr Haque is a member of the Australian Computer Society (ACS), the Australasian Academic Integrity Network (AAIN), and the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA).
