SUMMARY:SCI Academics Gain International Recognition at AIMBIG Oceania 2026
DESCRIPTION:We are proud to share that academics from Southern Cross Institute (SCI) represented the institution at the AIMBIG Oceania 2026 Conference\, held at UNSW Sydney on 22–23 May 2026. \nOur team\, Dr Hom Nath Dhungana\, Dr Radhika Kuttala\, Dr Eric Howard\, and Associate Professor Anju Kalluvelil Janardhanan\, presented their research paper titled: “Who Decides Best? A Rapid Systematic Review of AI\, Human\, and Hybrid Decision-Making in Higher Education Admissions.” \nThe paper attracted strong interest and received highly positive feedback from conference delegates and reviewers\, highlighting its relevance to ongoing global discussions on the role of AI in higher education decision-making. \nAnother highlight of the conference was the keynote address delivered by Dr Hom Nath Dhungana on “The Hidden Cost of AI: Balancing Artificial Intelligence and Human Intelligence in the Future of Society”. He was also honoured with the Global Excellence Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to research and innovation.   \nThis achievement reflects SCI’s continued commitment to advancing research excellence\, innovation\, and international collaboration in higher education. \n Congratulations to the entire SCI team on this outstanding accomplishment.
