SUMMARY:Dr Radhika Kuttala Showcases AI Research Through Poster Presentation at Sydney Cardiovascular Symposium 2026
DESCRIPTION:Southern Cross Institute (SCI) congratulates Dr Radhika Kuttala\, Lecturer\, on presenting her research poster at the Sydney_2026 Cardiovascular Symposium\, themed “Sex Differences in Cardiovascular Disease”\, held on 29–30 October 2026. \n\nDr Kuttala’s poster\, titled “Do AI-Based Stress Detection Models Generalise Across Sex?”\, with the subtitle “Investigating Sex-Related Cardiovascular Variability in Subject-Independent Stress Recognition”\, explored the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and physiological signals for stress detection. Her research investigates how AI-based techniques can identify stress through physiological signals and evaluate the reliability of these approaches across different individuals. \nThe symposium brought together researchers\, academics and healthcare professionals to share research findings\, discuss emerging developments and exchange ideas in cardiovascular health and related fields. \nHer research highlights the growing potential of AI in healthcare\, particularly in understanding physiological responses to stress. It also emphasises the importance of developing reliable AI models that account for individual differences. \nDr Kuttala’s participation demonstrates the value of interdisciplinary research\, highlighting how advances in information technology can contribute to innovation in healthcare and medical research. \nSCI is proud to recognise Dr Kuttala’s research contribution and wishes her continued success in her academic and research endeavours.
